Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
… because what girl doesn’t love chocolate and what guy doesn’t love cookies? It’s a perfect pair ;)
Ingredients
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks-it’s the same thing so don’t do both!) butter, softened
¾ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels (chocolate chips)
Optional: 1 cup chopped nuts (make sure you ask your date in advance to find out about allergies!)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Combine all dry ingredients in one bowl (except flour) with butter and vanilla extract. Stir until creamy. Add in eggs (one at a time!) beating well after each one is added. Slowly beat in flour. Then it is time for the chocolate chips (make sure they go in the bowl and not your mouth ;)) & nuts. Use a tablespoon (or guesstimate) to place dough on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake time: 9-11 mins
Remove and let cool for 10 mins
